The Pioneer Spirit
Alumni of Pacific Union College have always been pioneers. Founded in 1882 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the college was conceived as an outpost of faith and learning for the burgeoning West Coast. It was built by the hands of its first students and professors amid untamed wilderness beauty, and was the first school to be accredited by the church and to offer graduate studies in an Adventist setting.
Today, our alumni are leaders in the fields of medicine, education, business, ministry, and many other fields. They go on to attend the world’s most prestigious graduate schools, to make a positive impact in their communities, and to be the first to volunteer when others are in need around the world.
You are a part of this vibrant group. You carry the Pioneer legacy. We’re glad you’re here, nurturing your connection with this community of faith, fellowship, and learning.
